ABSTRACT

Once the death happens, I say ‘I am going to leave the room, I am just going to be outside if you need me, but spend some time.’ After about half an hour or so, we will go in and say ‘come and have a cup of tea, we are going to make them comfortable’. That may sound a funny word when somebody has died, but we would go in then and make the person more presentable. Their mouth might be wide open, they may have died in a position where they are all crumpled up in the bed.
