ABSTRACT
Clinicians have very little evidence-based information to guide their choice of
treatments for depression in children and adolescents. Until recently, they
were often forced to rely on adult-based evidence in selecting antidepressant
treatments. Emerging results from pharmacotherapy trials conducted in young
populations provide information on the relative advantages and hazards of
antidepressant medications.
