In recent times, this has been nowhere more evident than with the development of computer technology and the growth of the Internet: As we will see in the next chapter, law enforcement agencies are ghting a generally losing battle against cybercriminals in an “arms race” of cybercrime techniques that always seems to favor the criminals.
