ABSTRACT

Since reengineering will influence the entire organizational culture, it is critical that senior leaders lead the effort and that other key players do their part to support the initiative. Thus, it is very important to be clear about the expected roles and responsibilities for senior leaders, team leaders, facilitators, team members, and support staff. Even though many of the participants will be experienced in process improvement, problem-solving, and other types of multidisciplinary meetings, it is important that each individual understands their role in a process reengineering and redesign team. Individuals should also know what is expected of them, as well as the various do’s and don’ts that will allow the teams to function productively and be successful in meeting their objectives.
