ABSTRACT

Communication permeates all work environments. Both organizations and individuals have a need to communicate regarding employment issues. Within the justice domain, employers must communicate with the general public and various staffing agencies to announce job openings. Individuals and staffing agencies must communicate with potential employers regarding any interest in these announced positions. During this act of communicating, numerous instances of electronic mail and other written communications, telephone conversations, and personal interviews may be necessary to screen applicants during the hiring process.
