ABSTRACT

In Phase 4, Continuous Quality Improvement (QI), of the STEEEP (safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient centered) Quality Journey, the health care delivery organization’s leaders are fully engaged in and see themselves as accountable for driving QI (Figure  4.1). Goals and infrastructure are continuously adapted and refined to enhance quality performance outcomes. Quality, patient safety, and patient experience goals are integrated with organizational behavior and incentives, and QI and innovation are fostered and rewarded.
