ABSTRACT

Kazbek Misikov and his family started September 1, 2004, on a wonderful note; it was the first day of school and he, his wife, and two sons dressed up and went to the Beslan School for the special “Day of Knowledge” welcome-back ceremony that began at 9:00. At 9:20, with 1,200 children, teachers, and staff in the gym, Chechen separatists attacked. The next four days were hell on earth for those who were unable to escape; Mr. Misikov and his family were injured, but fortunately, came out alive. Sadly, 330 innocent people lost their lives in the siege, including 108 children.
