ABSTRACT
In this book, we have introduced some of the biostatistics that are required to conduct cost-effectiveness analysis with a focus on how to reduce uncertainty. In this chapter, we will also provide an emphasis on the quality of reporting of biostatistics, including how to write different sections of a statistical section of an academic paper, a report, a grant application or a statistical analysis plan. One of the surprises that we give to students who are completing their advanced degrees in biostatistics is that more time will be spent on writing than on conducting analysis. It seems worthwhile to mention a few tips to help the process for those of us that considered English as a second language after their first language of calculus or economics.
