ABSTRACT
We have identified 17 opportunities to improve process performance based on what we learned from the current state VSM. All 17 had benefit, most of them significant benefit. Although some were difficult, none was impossible; almost all offer enough potential that they are worth pursuing. In addition, Lean teaches us not to tolerate any waste, but to be diligent in weeding it out, thus providing more motivation to pursue even the more difficult opportunities.
