Introduction

In each book, differing perspectives on economic development and comebacks from economic decline were derived. This was accomplished by assigning to each set of research cities of different sizes. The first of the books looked at general principles of growth and recovery. The subsequent books considered large cities and major metropolitan regions and micropolitan communities.
