ABSTRACT

A results facilitator and/or an experienced facilitator must be a master of tools and techniques that enable a team to generate ideas, evaluate and analyze them, and to sell them to management. He or she must be able to help a team accomplish numerous tasks, such as determining a name for the program, identifying factors that are critical to success, generating ideas or data, evaluating options or alternatives, finding the root causes of a problem, determining a good metric for measuring progress or success, graphing the data to show trends, determining the relationship between factors or data, to name a few. The key tools and techniques for generating ideas, gathering data, evaluating ideas, analyzing data, and selling your solutions are presented in this chapter.
