ABSTRACT
Much of the focus of waste reduction is on attacking the sheer volume of waste produced, but correctly disposing of regulated waste can have equally profound impacts on the real cost of waste disposal without reducing actual volumes. Beyond sorting recyclables for reclamation, this is a factor in industries where waste segregation is required because some portion of the waste is restricted beyond the regulations applying to conventional waste.
