essential for its perpetration, investigation, or prosecution. Computer forensics: The study of computer technology as it relates to the law. Jurisdiction: The geographic area where the crime had been committed and any
portion of the surrounding area over, or through which the suspect passed, is en route to, or going away from, the actual scene of the crime.
