ABSTRACT
A stem-and-leaf plot is used to graphically depict the distribution of a data set (Montgomery, Runger, and Hubble, 2001). The left side is the stem, and the right side is the leaf. The stem can be used for a single number, such as the tens or hundreds position. The stem can also be used for a range, such as 10-20.
