ABSTRACT

Many international youth and young adults (Crews and Montgomery, 2001) are mimicking activities, practices, and belief systems they are reading about on the Internet and seeing through media outlets. e problem is that many of the incidents and activities they are learning about either never occurred or where grossly misrepresented on the web. Moreover, many social media sites universally accessible allow individuals to create, exaggerate, manipulate, and even fake events and actions that may or may not have even happened.
