ABSTRACT

DUE TO THE MIGRATION OF MANY CORPORATE NETWORKS to the TCP/IP protocol suite, it is important to understand how to appropriately configure workstations and servers to support this suite. In addition, due to the rapid growth in the use of Windows NT, which now accounts for over 60 percent of the corporate networking server market, it is also important to understand how to configure the TCP/IP protocol suite for operation on Microsoft’s NT platforms. Thus, the focus of this article covers the key address that must be used to configure TCP/IP on any operating system while using the Windows NT platform to specifically illustrate how to configure this protocol suite on this popular operating system.
