ABSTRACT

It was a nice day. I met Dutch engineers who were very passionate about, and had very outspoken opinions on, the way software should be written by the Indians. These people were truly concerned about the lack of progress the team was making. I also succeeded in quickly winning the trust of the Indians by talking to them about their country, the region they came

from (I had put a map on the wall where we put flags of their homes), and the kind of jobs they had done before coming to Holland. I met Indian people who felt lonely, disrespected, and unable to live up to expectations. More importantly, I met 10 people, all of whom had pride in their jobsdespite the bad working atmosphere-and who were all committed to producing the best possible result for the company. They somehow did not manage to work together productively.
