ABSTRACT

The disorders described below are generally associated with the soul entity of the child and in part they are viewed as determined by it. This insight is reflected in the heading of this chapter. To the reader of the preceding chapter it will have become entirely clear, how ever, that for every disorder it is necessary to distinguish between the purely physical aspect and the living self-activity of the organism. The latter, as a complex of processes, is directed at the preservation and regeneration of organs, thus constituting the real foundation of all (self) healing processes. The soul aspect reveals itself directly in sensation (for example pain), consciousness and active locomotion (▸Chap. 1.3) and is involved in the incidence of disease in various ways. It must be distinguished from the life organization, the etheric body of the human being. Every cough, as it were, constitutes a psychosomatic disorder – and the incidence of disease rarely exists without participation of the soul entity. This participation is practically never of a purely passive nature; even the type of pain involved and its intensity depend not only on bodily factors, but also to a considerable degree on the regulating activity of the soul organization [Egle et al. 1999, 19]. Soul perception reflects itself bodily; heart and respiratory rates are examples of this.
