This chapter provides brief descriptions of the authors’ clinical experience with partic-
ular illnesses.
Congenital cardiovascular anomalies are a domain of paediatric diagnosis and heart sur gery. Surgical correction is now typically successful, even with hypoplastic left heart syn drome. Many years of experience have convinced the authors that there is a real need for complementary medical treatment both preoperatively and postoperatively, as in the fol lowing case study.
