ABSTRACT

The commands noisily and quietly are special commands that turn the output on and off. The first, noisily, performs the command subsequently written and ensures terminal output. The second, quietly, performs the command subsequently written but suppresses terminal output. As you can see in the example above, if you type “do” before typing “example1,” all the information in the do-file will be displayed in the Stata results window. If you type “run,” only the information after the noisily display commands will be shown in the output window.
