ABSTRACT
Chapter 8 gives a detailed analysis of the South Korean involvement in Uzbekistan, providing an outline of ambitious plans for developing the strategic partnership between the two countries. As is indicated in other chapters, South Korea may not be the largest economic partner of Uzbekistan, in terms of volumes of trade and investment. But its structure of cooperation is certainly one of the most diverse, having spread through a number of sectors of the economy, making its impact on Uzbekistan’s economy very significant. This chapter also details the competitive advantages of South Korea in respect to the Chinese and the Japanese initiatives.
