ABSTRACT

Aesthetic ceramic restorations, such as veneers, inlays, onlays and total crowns, are the basis of nowadays conservative dental medicine. Their success depends mostly on their optical attributes, emphasizing the color and translucency, as well their biocompatibility and good mechanical properties. Literature highlights the necessity of a great combination between translucency and thickness of the resin composite cements, in order to obtain the idealized final color on dental restorations. This in vitro study aimed to analyze the influence of the resin composite cement on the final color of an aesthetic fixed prosthodontics rehabilitation, using zirconia as restorative material.
