ABSTRACT

Tooth loss in the esthetic area is a traumatic experience for the patient, however, the advances in dental implantology provide excellent solutions for restoring almost all functions of missing teeth. The treatment of partially edentulous patient can be challenging, including careful planning of dental implants, placement, and restoration. The present article reports a clinical case using the provisional restoration as the guide for the surgery, while 2 implants with immediate loading were installed immediately after the extraction of 4 teeth in the mandible. Despite all the progress achieved so far, the success of oral rehabilitation still depends on a careful case selection, appropriate treatment planning, precise surgical and prosthetic protocols and an adequate follow-up, as described in the present case.
