Management for Quality in Government

This article traces federal, state, and local government efforts to apply quality management theories and techniques since the reinvention era of the early 1990s. The principles and theories underlying quality management are a mix of various American and Japanese philosophies and strategies that are now widely practiced in many "reinvented" U.S. governmental agencies.
