ABSTRACT

Performance reporting is the conveyance of information, about activities and accomplishments and their related costs, by persons who are responsible for achieving something for those to whom they are responsible. Performance reporting is a form of feedback that is essential in all organizations—for-profits, nonprofits, and governments. Performance reporting is indispensable in the fulfillment of the stewardship and accountability obligations of organizational leaders to those outside the organizations who have entrusted their money and other resources to the leaders.
