ABSTRACT

In recent years, developing countries have been embracing innovative methods of service delivery including privatization, quasi-private arrangements, and public– private partnerships. Over time, officials in these nations have come to realize that government initiatives alone cannot properly address the enormous economic and social challenges that they confront. The needs of developing countries are truly vast and are beginning to be addressed through various combinations of partnerships between philanthropic organizations, non-government organizations, corporations, community-based organizations, and government entities.
