ABSTRACT

In this section you will be introduced to fingerprints. They are usually the most common evidence at a crime scene; however, they are frequently overlooked. The proper search for, development of, and collection of latent fingerprint evidence will indelibly link a person to the crime scene. While this individual evidence is direct evidence of presence at a crime scene, it may not be direct evidence of guilt. This fact can only be proven or disproven through thorough and accurate investigation.
