Drafting and submission

Once candidates have substantially finished their research studies, they have to produce a written submission which, depending upon the type of doctorate, may take the forms of a conventional thesis (termed ‘dissertation’ in the US), a thesis including a compilation of publications with a linking commentary, a portfolio of projects and/or of innovations in professional practice, or an exegesis to accompany a creative work or works.
