ABSTRACT

Of fundamental importance in the setup of an experiment is the choice of the materials and suppliers. In general, the manufacturer or distributor of the materials and chemicals, including the supplies for cell culture, should be reputable, easily accessible, and referenced. In addition, the company should provide the researcher with details of the methods used to prepare, package, store, and ship supplies. A stock solution of the substance is prepared in the solvent and appropriate aliquots are then distributed to the corresponding experimental groups. It is important, however, that individual laboratories determine the toxicity of the solvent, even at its lowest concentration as part of the incubation media. Correlation analysis, and the calculation of the correlation coefficient, is computed to determine the strength or significance of the regression analysis. Nonparametric statistical analysis is exactly analogous to parametric statistical methods, but involves analysis of ranked data.
