ABSTRACT

The discovery that mental disorders are substantially lodged in the dynamic coordination of our neuronal assemblies, combined with the realization that the resulting pathological patterns lie within the realm of brain plasticity that is accessible to us by means of self-regulation technologies, has the makings of a scientific revolution. Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback contributes to the self-regulation project by reaching the foundations of the regulatory and developmental hierarchy, and thus offers a broad clinical footprint. Since ILF NF can be done even in infancy, a shift toward a prevention model, one in which the developmental trajectories are re-directed early in life, is now a realistic possibility.
