ABSTRACT

Sustainable economies require ongoing investment. This chapter describes different types of potential investors in wealth creation value chains including demand partners, transactional partners, support partners, and beneficiaries and broadens the definition of investment to include contributions of multiple forms of wealth. A review of the contemporary investment landscape, including social impact investing and crowdfunding challenges and opportunities are discussed. Opportunities and challenges matching different types of investors with investable opportunities in ways that take advantage of varied interests and investment constraints are also discussed.
