ABSTRACT
A micromachine is defined as a very small electromechanical apparatus (1μm to 1 cm) for conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy or/and vice versa. Most micromotors, microgenerators or microactuators have external dimensions in the millimeter or submillimeter range; however, the developed torque or thrust should be high enough to overcome the losses.
