ABSTRACT
Among other changes, SAP10 introduced a much lower carbon emission factor for electricity than the one currently used in Building Regulations; this is meant to reflect the grid electricity carbonization. With the GLA (Greater London Authority) encouraging developers to use SAP10 from January 2019, it is expected that developments in London will now have the opportunity to test the impacts of the decarbonizing grid on their design and servicing approach as well as on capex and opex.
