ABSTRACT
The publication of the Government Construction Strategy in 2011 has helped bring about a digital construction revolution in the UK and the rest of the world. At the centre is a package of measures with Building Information Modelling, focused on digital collaboration achieving best value across the project timeline. Following the UK Governments BIM mandate in 2016 and a Scottish BIM policy the following year, BIM has seen a steady rise in its use within the construction industry.
