ABSTRACT

Chapter 3 shows trends in different countries related to who might live in poverty, including using a life-cycle approach, and thus include a poverty perspective from the cradle to the grave, which is used in the various subsections, especially related to which age groups are at risk. As far as possible, the presentation is grouped into regions and of countries within them. In relation to the EU, welfare regime clusters are used as an instrument to present the development as a way of depicting whether different welfare states can have variations in what the situation is like.
