Continually Improving Your Workforce Through New Hires, Promotions, and Ongoing Training
After you develop a standard method of training employees at your facility, you need to continue to train new employees, conduct periodic new training, and offer more in-depth training of existing employees, as needed. Previous chapters addressed how the HR department at Rudrey developed a standard method of training current employees in the Rudrey Production System and implementation. Rudrey also developed a standard method of training the operators on the floor so that they could perform every process in their team. Rudrey’s HR was now charged with developing a plan to continuously improve the Rudrey Production System by training new hires and providing new and/or more in-depth training for existing employees.
