ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the conversations of the authors with Harvard students. The students belonged to first year and third year. The first-year students were asked about the questionnaire, their experience in the first year, and their plans after they leave the Graduate School. The students also answered questions on socialization and on economists. The third-year Harvard students were not very forthcoming. One of them said that it was a rather unpleasant experience for him at the Graduate School because the faculty was not very supportive and interested in the students at all. The students also answered questions on their after their graduation. One of them wanted to have an academic/public-policy career while another was interested in Soviet economics.
