ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates the dynamic bending behaviors of porous GOR nanocomposite plate-type elements. The equivalent material properties of the porous GOR nanocomposite can be obtained using the instructions of Section 2.3.5 incorporated with Section 2.3.3. In this chapter, three types of porosity distributions are covered as well as three types of reinforcing for the employed nanocomposite structure. Also, the governing equations of the problem will be considered to be as same as Eqs. (2.215)–(2.218). In fact, the refined-type HSDT of the plates is utilized to derive the governing equations free from using any extra shear correction factor. Once the governing equations are produced, the transient response of the system can be derived using a two-step Laplace transformation technique, as discussed in Section 2.2.7. The abovementioned equations will be solved for the case of a plate with simply supported edges. In the numerical results it will be proven that the existence of pores in the nanocomposite system can result in higher deflections for the continuous system due to the destroying effects of porosity on the mechanical performance of the structure.
