ABSTRACT
The capacity to understand the link between current difficulties at work and our early life experiences can have a transformative effect on our approach to our working lives. George progressed well over the years and became established as a highly organized and very technically competent manager. The relationship between consultant and client is key to creating a reflective space where this exploration can take place, in a setting where trust can be developed and uncertainty tolerated. Moving away from his family and developing a professional career and a very different lifestyle to his parents and siblings had created an emotional gap for William.
