This chapter introduces concepts of mobile video story development, audience and angle. Transforming user-generated content (UGC) into user-generated stories (UGS) and user-generated programs (UGP) at source can create a greater level of diversity. To enable this to occur we introduce the SCRAP story tool with a focus on story, character and structure. We discuss the value of knowing your audience, choosing the correct style and having a strong story focus. The chapter introduces an investigative approach and discusses Mark Lee Hunter’s tool kit, before suggesting the need for a common digital language across the mobile content creation sphere.
