Recording audio on a smartphone is not unlike recording audio for video, except mojos will generally not work with a sound recordist. This chapter explores recording audio situations including actuality and interviews, recording narration, hardware and software, and includes recording tips and developing an audio strategy. In particular, we look at how to record a location interview and we explore the various microphones used to record mojo audio.
