ABSTRACT

At social gatherings, when it is learned that one is a mental health professional, it is not unusual to be asked for advice or technical clarification of what is often a delicate mental health issue. This can become a social ‘mind’-field when the realization dawns that what they have revealed about themselves in a non-confidential setting is rather personal. Then there is the subtle anger and disappointment when a brilliant and comfortable solution to their concerns isn’t instantly produced. (At no charge!)
