ABSTRACT

The external perspective involved considering the technical functioning of the network in the physical world, focusing on the physical technology. The internal and external perspectives demonstrate that the human experience of new technology differs from the technological processes of online activity. The analysis of the statutory development of copyright infringement by reproduction revealed three main criticisms. Firstly, that certain areas of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 1988 were introduced without foresight or particular expertise in the understanding of computer technology or copyright law. The case law and focused on two key areas of copying online: storage by any technical means and transient or incidental copying. The historical analysis of the development of the right to communication has dramatically expanded from controlling television and radio broadcasts over the course of its relatively short development through international, European and United Kingdom legislation.
