ABSTRACT
The greater the “wow factor” at a young age, the greater the interest and engagement, which is linked to the power of engineering to make a positive change. When you have an opportunity to tell young learners how engineering contributes to society and your experiences in engineering, do so! It’s so easy for young people to take roads, bridges, water, sanitation, electricity, and multistory building (just to name a few) for granted. Remind them that it may seem like magic to open a tap and get hot water, but it’s engineers that make that magic happen!
