ABSTRACT
The tools with an X following its name are the ones that are required for an individual to reach the Silver Innovation Medal proficiency level. Knowledge of all the tools and methodologies listed are required for an individual to reach the Gold Innovation Medal proficiency level. There are twenty three tools, methods, and/or techniques that have been classified as preferred evolutionary and improvement tools, methods, and techniques for developing continuous improvement opportunities. The user tool can be used by an individual, but its best use is with a group of four to eight people. Cross functional teams usually yield the best results from this activity. Since attribute listing is a creative method to find new ideas to solve problems and to find innovative products and services, this method can be usefully combined with a brainstorming session.
