ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on defining the demands on leadership arising in the realm of architecture and on providing guidance and an example for how success can be attained. People should appoint someone to update the architecture documentation and someone to fine tune the scenarios for next use. Architecture simulations can be adapted and scaled to meet a variety of needs and can succeed even if many of the tenants elucidated are not well done. At the other end of the architecture simulation spectrum is one done part-way through a two-year project aimed at finding any remaining gaps to reduce risk of failure. One of the leaders of this project had joined the team and had seen large-scale architecture simulations succeed in ensuring rigorous efficient alignment in an earlier program.
