ABSTRACT

The “I AM” Movement teaches the existence of Ascended Masters who, from ethereal, non-earthly realms, impart wisdom to humanity. It is rooted in Theosophy which was founded by Madame Blavatsky in New York in 1875. The Saint Germain Foundation, of Schaumburg, Illinois, is the most direct descendent of the original Ballard movement. It publishes Ballard’s books which consist of discourses from various Ascended Masters. It publishes the periodical The Voice of “I AM”. Summit Lighthouse was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1958 by Mark L. Prophet. He was associated with the “I AM” Movement and the Bridge to Freedom. He claimed that the Ascended Master El Morya, chief of the Darjeeling Council of the Great White Brotherhood, ordered the founding of the Summit Lighthouse. Since its inception, “the Summit Lighthouse has become a forum for the ascended masters and their students throughout the world.”.
