ABSTRACT
Accidental ingestion of corrosive agents (acid or alkali) causes acute mucosal injury and long-term stricture formation. Endoscopic appearance of acute and long-term consequences of corrosive injury has been presented here. The esophageal stricture is often amenable to endoscopic dilatation.
