ABSTRACT

This chapter offers closing comments regarding this book. It also provides a helpful framework for thinking ethically about developing and sustaining a sport psychology program.

This book has been created as a resource guide for practitioners who are involved in the development of sport psychology programs in real-time settings at professional, collegiate, and other levels of competitive sport. The chapters of the book have included recommendations and suggestions that can assist practitioners, including you, with successfully addressing important program development activities, from clarifying the need for a sport psychology program to focusing on details regarding program design, implementation, and evaluation. Much of the information covered in this book has come from my many years of experience as a practitioner at the professional, collegiate, and other levels of sport. The principles of program planning and evaluation presented in this book have informed and guided my professional experiences.
