ABSTRACT

The skills of the C-Suite will depend on their roles. There is an assumption that the C-Suite is a static unit, and this premise should also be tested. There are several abilities that executives need to master as a result of being in the C-Suite. Their intelligence should be more than those catered for by the education system. If there’s one primary dimension in being a C-Suite executive, it is complexity. Executives with spatial intelligence are aware of their surroundings, can visualize concepts, and use colors, shapes, and symbolic representations to illustrate their thinking. A wise executive acknowledges that decision-making is dependent and rarely involves the application of absolute rules. Equally, people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and attributes will have blind spots, and the executive should firstly make everyone aware of the circumstance and help people develop the self-awareness to recognize these and accommodate the fact. Executives with interpersonal intelligence are good with people and thrive on social interaction.
